Yeah, I was saying a few months back that ARM-based CPUs were likely to find their place on the desktop after Apple led the way, and no one believed me.
It'll all be a matter of peripheral support, the kernel will support the CPU without a problem. And once Qualcomm makes the line of CPU available to anyone, other companies will follow to make actual laptops, tablets and maybe even desktop PCs.
The x86 days may be counted, you'll probably be glad.
