Raspberry Pi RP1-based PCIe GPIO cards?
« on: August 26, 2024, 12:10:43 am »
In the Raspberry Pi 5, there is a RP1 peripheral controller with a PCIe interface which includes two USB 3.0 controllers, two MIPI camera or display interfaces, Gigabit Ethernet and 28 lines of GPIO which includes I2C/SPI/UART/PWM/I2S/GPCLK hardware functions.
Do you know of any RP1-based PCIe GPIO cards on the market?
Also, is there a project to build an FPGA implementation of the RP1 (which can have more GPIO lines and additional bus interfaces (e.g. Secondary Memory Interface which is not available on the RP1) and can omit USB/MIPI/Ethernet)?
If it runs on Linux, there is some hackability in it.
