Subscribe to blogs without registering/login into yet another service

How can I find when some text blogs publish something new, without visiting them all, daily?

I prefer a dedicated standalone program in Ubuntu.  Or, maybe a Firefox plugin?  Sometimes I use other browsers, too, e.g. Pale Moon.

I don't want email notifications, don't want cloud services or to login to some provider, don't need to move from one device to another, and so on.  Just a dedicated local thing, with local stored data, free and open source.

Look for the small icon on the page. If they dont have it... well, someone please link an XKCD, of people who have no clue about web development.

For now I've installed QuiteRSS, because it promised no ads, still curious what others prefer to use.

Yeah the most common answer would be RSS, but I think many web sites have kind of stopped offering RSS?
And Firefox itself has stopped supporting it natively? Not sure why?

Firefox claimed something like too much trouble/not enough resources to "modernize" it. Pale Moon still has it, and maybe others, but who knows for how much longer.
