Yeah, getting those in Europe will incur significant extra cost, making them relatively unattractive price-wise.
Take the average $2000 price point (depending on config it could be up to $3000), add VAT + custom fees, and start bawling your eyes out!

Probably not relevant but if you like KDE, I've really been enjoying my Kubuntu Focus laptop for work.  Clevo makes the hardware, and speaking as a touch-typist, the keyboard is pretty good and includes a numerical pad. 
I wasn't cost-sensitive, but they finally figured out how to ship it to me without giving UPS ground a stupid amount of money.  Admittedly it was by giving UPS air a stupid amount of money...

I didn't know Clevo, but it's in Europe, so that should make things easier for us europeans too, and they seem to have more options than System76. I'll have a look! Thanks!
