when your train suddenly stops working
madires:
The Polish company Newag (manufacturer of trains) had a great idea to maximize profit:
- add a kill-switch to the control system
- wait for trains stop working when serviced by a third party
- $$$

I find it "funny" that the manufacturer failed partly on the sabotage routine. :palm:

Unfortunately the company responded with attacks, including legal threats, supposedly(1) filing criminal charges against the researchers, spreading news of everything being competitors’ conspiracy against them, and general PR-produced bullshit.
It seems there is formally no direct victims and potential future clients are “pragmatic”, so it’s likely Newag will also get away with it — not counting short instability in their shares price.
(1) They are the sole source of this information.

What national resource? This is a private company, who caused distress to another private company, who serviced trains operated by yet another private company. The last one is owned by a local government, but not state government.

How is Russia even involved? And what delays in what war effort? Did you mix up Poland and Ukraine? And even if: these are commute trains.
