What browser for KDE/Linux - Firefox ESR just upgraded to ugly and slow

After Mozilla ruined Firefox I was using Waterfox for a while, but now they have adopted those awful floating tabs, low contrast and removing any division between inactive tabs, it's such a horrible UI design I cannot stand it. I've gone back to Brave which I find to be a tolerable fork of Chrome. I don't like the near monopoly of Chrome but it's as if Mozilla is doing everything in their power to prevent me from using Firefox and derivatives. I just got sick of finding workarounds and hacks for features and settings they remove on a regular basis.
