You know why I will choose to buy from Frankie rather than other eBay sellers with cheaper prices? Because Frankie sells electronic test gear and not undies, teddy bears, silicon protector, kitchen timer, toothbrush, socks, etc.

I rather you have one sharp knife than jack at all items.

I am yet another happy buyer, bought my meter + some wire from his ebay store, for about 2 weeks ago, got it today, July 1.
Fast shipping, well packed, what more could you ask for.
Will definitely buy more stuff from him in the future.
Thumbs up :-+ :-+

Thanks Franky

Sorry if my English is bad.

Franky,

Since you have to take the meter out of the box anyway to take out the battery would it be possible to do quick check on accuracy on DCV range? I don't expect any report, just want a confirmation that it is indeed within spec (at least when it's new). Since I am lacking on better options this will be my "reference" DMM and I have no comparable equipment to cross reference it with.

I actually do that as one of the basic tests to ALL meters I sell. I make sure all the basic functions work and are within specs. I use the Chinese AD584 based voltage reference, the DMM Check Plus, and a LCR reference I have for the tests.

If you don't mind me opening up the case I can even do a DCV calibration on the UT61E based on the references I have. I do now also own an Agilent 34461A to verify that my voltage references are what they claim they are to enough accuracy. Obviously I won't and can't afford the time to do that (calibration/adjustment) all the time but for forum members who request it specicifically I'd be happy to spend the extra effort.

Cheers,
Franky

Now, when I think about it I fell ashamed I ever doubted it. Your reputation here is great for a good reason.

That would be absolutely great but I think you should charge a little extra for it at least. Obviously everyone would want their DMM calibrated and you already sell those meters to forum members with a discount.

I have dealt with a lot of "value added" resellers in the past, but no one comes close to this level of service.  Many "value added" resellers add no value whatsoever and even hold up the process.

PS. Franky likely has a lifetime supply of 9V batteries in his house.

I do!! I have literally hundreds of them! I would happily give them away but they are not that commonly used in consumer stuff so there aren't that many takers!

Its been a while since I received my UT61E from Franky and I have just realized that I didn't give my feedback yet, so here it is: just buy from Franky! I got tracking number on 7.03 and the meter arrived at my door on 13.03. Delivery from China to Poland in 6 days. I'll take that happily! :D. The meter is of course amazing for me because I never had anything nearly as good, so I cannot give you valuable review. One thing I will say though is I am not sure if you should bother with better leads for it like some people suggested, at least not right away. Ones included may not be rated for high voltage but nor is the DMM. They are quite pointy, feel nice in hand and I think are perfectly adequate for the job.

And once again: I highly recommend buying from Franky!

Uni-T UT61E Early Summer sale!
« Reply #88 on: May 16, 2014, 11:05:40 am »
Lately there have been more and more sellers on different platforms (eBay, Aliexpress, etc) selling these meters for ridiculously low prices and I think it's time for me clear my stock and call it quits (on this particular model), as it really doesn't make a lot of sense anymore with virtually no margins. I'm reducing my price on the Uni-T UT61E to $51 for US buyers and $53 for the rest of the world, shipping with tracking included.

My price still may not be the lowest but I'm hoping feedback from my previous customers in this thread, plus the fact that I test all meters I sell, will give my buyers more confidence and make up for the difference. I am also willing to do a simple adjustment on the DCV range against the voltage references I have and an in-cal Agilent 34461A 6.5 digit bench multimeter, to make sure every meter reads as accurately as possible.

Please PM me with your Paypal email address if interested. Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Franky

I think it depends on which market/country you're in. The sellers are usually selective in which countries to sell to at the lower price range. Aliexpress is where the prices are the worst (for sellers) though...

I'm sorry you got one of the last units at the $57 price I was offering. If you need anything from me in the future I'll make sure I give extra discounts or throw in some extra stuff to sweeten the deal :)

One thing that makes a bit of a difference for me is the browser configuration. If I put English as the first preferred language in the browser config I get different aBay search results than when I have it as second or third language or not included at all.

FRANKY ROCKS!

Mine came yesterday, only took 5 days from HK to here.
For a cheap meter they are very good.

Mine is way more accurate than the meter specs
on resistance and VDC

Franky sort your shop out and list loads more stuff!

Franky, I fear you are known as the UT61E man!  I've bought two of those from you and a variety of leads, so I'm curious what you are going to make your name in next??

Speaking of FG I'm actually shopping for one myself :) I just agreed to sell my 1-year-old Rigol DG1022U to a regular customer of mine and am now looking for something of a higher bandwidth.

I was planning to get another UT-61E in the next couple of days. Anything good planned for sale or should I just go ahead and order one from aliexpress?
