Hello Franky,

maybe you know what AWG size are Brymen's DMM test leads (cables), need to order some cables but have no idea what AWG size?

Best Regards,
Mantas

regarding you zy1270, I see that there are also some zy1271 and zy1273 floating around?, what is the newest of all these?

There's actually a ZY1272 too. A brief summary of the new/different features on these models:

ZY1271 - large colour TFT display (same as ZY1270's), features USB type-C input and output ports, plus an micro-USB input port.
ZY1272 - same size as the ZY1266 but with a colour TFT display, automatically stops charging/discharging beyond a set current threshold
to prolong battery life.
ZY1273 -  same size as the ZY1266 but with a colour TFT display, supports USB 3.0 and an input USB type-C port (but no micro-USB port).

Unfortunately I don't have this info regarding the Brymen test leads. The outside diameter of the lead is about 3.5mm but that doesn't tell you the AWG size as it depends on the metal content of the actual wire core.

Too many choices... I wanted to buy an newer one that supports the higher voltages and stuff, but it's always difficult to choose :), can't they make one universal model?
The 72, charge/discharge?, can you charge batteries with it now?

No, it's just a power monitor so you can't really charge anything without a power source :) I was just referring to the different applications you can use it for. You could be using it to monitor the charging of your phone, or you could be measuring the capacity of your power bank by discharging it through a dummy load.

Franky - can you supply these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Silicone-Test-Leads-50cm-with-Sprung-Hooks-and-Banana-Plugs-1-Pair-Red-Black-/200979921195 banana plug to spring clip leads in longer lengths, say 1m or 1.2m? What about additional colours?

Thanks!

Those are shown as out of stock, and don't show up in either the store or eBay seller listings. Looks like they may no longer be available.

I had been away for a couple of weeks and a lot of items are either out of stock or very low in stock. I'll need to re-stock a lot of them very soon. These should become available again next week. If you need other colours please let me know and I can order them as well from my supplier.

Thanks. I'm not too fussed about the other colours, I'd just like some visual difference when I'm using multiple leads in a test setup. Yellow+green would be a good choice, or blue+orange (or in some other combination of these colours)

I just came as well to ask about different colors.

White and Dark Blue would be good colors. I'd be looking for 14 AWG unshrouded stackable Banana to sprung hook or just unshrouded regular banana plugs, preferably in the matching color. Happy to make my own from parts if you can source them but they're unassembled.

I can't offer white colour, but can offer yellow, green and blue for the following banana plugs (sprung hooks also available in these colours too):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4mm-Solderless-Stackable-Banana-Plugs-1-Pair-Red-Black-/171030386766
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4mm-Stackable-Banana-Plugs-1-Pair-Red-Black-/171062979200

These are available only in green and blue (no yellow):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4mm-32A-Rated-Stackable-Unshrouded-Banana-Plugs-1-Pair-Red-Black-/172588238483

I can have them assembled for you by my supplier. It will take about a week for me to have them ready for shipping once you've confirmed the order.

Hi Franky,

are you able to source end caps for BNC, UHF and SMA connectors?
The inner diameter is roundabout 6mm, 10mm and 15mm. The material is soft PVC or Vinyl.

Cheers
hammy

Hi Hammy,

I might be able to, but it depends on how many you want. If the quantity is too small it may not be worth the effort and shipping costs etc.

 Frankie,

Do you still have/can you get the cp3205 style switch mode PSUs you had a couple of years back? What kind of price would they be as the aliexpress prices vary widely now...

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

I don't stock them but can source one if needed. My price most likely won't compete with Aliexpress prices though, as I don't do the volume they do. For the latest CPS-3205 II model my price would be $65 including tracked shipping.

Hello Franky,

a few weeks ago I bought from you this nice bag for my new DMM U1252B. Thank you.  :)

Now I got this HV differential probe from Dave's shop (nice thing, btw :-) ) and I was wondering,
if you could offer a bag for that probe as well. The one you have for sale is a bit to small in length, 3 to 5 cm more would be really nice.

Any chance? Would prefer to buy from you. :)

Thanks,

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I don't have any at the moment and I tried to look around but couldn't yet find a good source for them unfortunately :(

Franky, have you decided yet on whether you're going to carry any shrouded female banana sockets? I've bought some from other eBayers but the quality of the insulation isn't nearly as good as the stuff you carry.

Are you referring to the ones used on the cable ends? Or those for PCB or face plate mounting? I do have some for cable ends available here if you need them.

The cable ends, I need them without wires attached.

This is what I have, they feel really cheap, specifically the strain relief.

These look like the ones I have :( I agree the strain relief isn't great (rather stiff), but I wouldn't call the material cheap (unless yours is different). They are used in some of the test leads I sell such as these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10cm-Silicone-Test-Leads-with-Sprung-Hooks-and-Female-Banana-Connectors-1-Pair-/201358533333

I currently have 2 factory repaired Brymen BM257S units here, fully operational, with original accessories and manual. Here's one but the other is basically in the same mint condition (the boxes are obviously slightly beat up due to all the shipping journeys). They have been sitting here for a while so I believe they are already out of their original 1-year warranty period.

I'll take $60 each, including tracked shipping worldwide.

Please post "SOLD" in this thread and PM me your PayPal email address if interested. First come first serve. Thanks!
