De-Panel Gerber
« on: January 20, 2019, 01:17:25 pm »
I have a set of 9 PCB's in single panel (gerber). I don't need all the PCB's in the panel.

Is there a tool which can help me to separate a PCB from this panel?

You might be able to import gerbers to KiCad pcb design file, delete what you don't want then make new gerbers.

I tried that the other day and the two copper layers did not import properly, luckily the outline did and that was all I wanted to edit anyways.

I might have been doing something wrong, I am not too familiar with KiCad.

"gerbv" allows one to remove elements in gerber. I could do almost everything. I got stuck at soldermask in bottom layer. One can delete elements, but, there is no crop option. Unfortunately, the solder mask is one single polygon.
