I don't mind reading about them but not sure what to look for?

Siglent SDS 1202X-E - Heathkit IO-4105 - Dr. Meter 0-30v 5a power supply - 862d+ combo unit - Weller WLC100 - Kunkin KL283 DC load. Not much gear yet.

Possibly IF (intermediate frequency) transformers for a radio.

I agree, they're probably IF "cans" or just tunable inductors. Like these:

this is variable inductor/transformer for radio frequency. It has screw core, which allows to tune it's inductance.

It can consist of single coil (variable inductor) or several coils (RF transformer).
