This depends largely on what the lab requirements are and what needs to be measured
I have one customer that needs highly accurate high voltage measurements and the equipment
is located in an air conditioned room.
This way, we can achieve a better than +/- 0.5 kV accuracy over a one year period of 40 kV Pk/Pk
An other client does not have any control over his room temperature or humidity.
Winter time down to 18°C and Summer time up to 35°C
Under these conditions, we can not even hold +/- 4 kV accuracy over a one year period of 40 kV Pk/Pk
So we need to calibrate the equipment once a month or when the temperature or humidity changes big time.
