Well it seems Digilent pulled the Opensope MZ because it was so unreliable, not surprising really. It was no help when trying to debug electrical fast transients because I just couldn't get it to trigger not even once.
Red Pitaya would do the job of debugging transient events where you need galvanic isolation.
It was quite a mis step IMHO, considering the Analog Discovery series are so good.
How is the Red Pitaya these days? I used in on one project some time ago, but the whole ecosystem was unfinished, and they kept redesigning it so documentation, builds and APIs had the lifespan of a mayfly, it was a very frustrating experience, and one that made me think any design using it was going to be nigh on impossible to maintain ongoing.
