So you think somebody should give you one at what it cost?  The rare and impossible to buy rulers?
The rulers that every purchaser got at least two of? I wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot of extras sold off cheap. (If anyone in Ottawa is desperate for one, let me know.)

I was undecided whether to buy some rulers or not, and now I regret not diving in.
Anybody care to send one to Europe for a couple of bucks (Paypal)? Pretty please? :)

Don't worry, I'll send you a free one.

Trimite-mi adresa pe Private Message si cu un pic de noroc o sa ajunga repejor. Nu-mi trebuie nici un ban, of course.
Multe salutari,
Dan

I wish I knew about this when it was running, I'd have grabbed at least 2, probably the 5, so I could give some to friends.

Hopefully Dave runs another campaign in the future.

Remember the intent and commitment was to support Dave and the EEVBlog through the 'crowd funded' project, not to buy and sell product.

The 'rulers' were a nicety.

Well that's how I see it anyway.

Hopefully Dave runs another campaign in the future.

It would be interesting to know how many people would want these again (new design with more info on back).
Impossible to know unless I actually run the campaign though.

You must be a glutton for punishment. :)

But if you considered it a success and you wish additional support then why not.

I'd be in again.

Cheers.

I missed the first go around.  I would not miss out on a 2nd go around.

Yep, but that's the advantage of taking your punishment up front, it gets easier, right? Surely all the hard stuff has been sorted out now? So I know what mistakes to avoid and the correct way to do things now.
So in theory I should be able to similar stuff (more rulers, blank PCB's, DaveCAD pads or whatever) without much hassle.

It was never meant be a "success", it was just meant to be a quick easy one-off thing to keep a few people happy.
But I now realise it's maybe another way I can potentially raise some revenue whilst offering something tangible people want.

If you're looking for input, I really like the 'DaveCAD' or 'DaveCAD Pro' pad idea.

Two problems:
1) it's pretty lame, just a post-it note pad with DaveCAD printed on it.
2) Paper weighs a lot. You can only fit one small square pad in the 50g $2.60 letter postage limit.

If you do go for another crowd funded run, how about an option for 100 or 1000 rulers, for people who run businesses overseas and want to resell them? Limit them to a relatively low number of buyers and they could probably be sent directly from the PCB manufacturer, saving considerably on your postage and handling costs.

if one wants 1000 pcs they can have them done themselves for a decent price, the gerbers are available. The problem was with regular people that just needed 1-2 pcs.
