So you think somebody should give you one at what it cost?  The rare and impossible to buy rulers?

The rulers that every purchaser got at least two of? I wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot of extras sold off cheap. (If anyone in Ottawa is desperate for one, let me know.)

Remember the intent and commitment was to support Dave and the EEVBlog through the 'crowd funded' project, not to buy and sell product.

The 'rulers' were a nicety.

Yep, but that's the advantage of taking your punishment up front, it gets easier, right? Surely all the hard stuff has been sorted out now? So I know what mistakes to avoid and the correct way to do things now.
So in theory I should be able to similar stuff (more rulers, blank PCB's, DaveCAD pads or whatever) without much hassle.

But if you considered it a success and you wish additional support then why not.

It was never meant be a "success", it was just meant to be a quick easy one-off thing to keep a few people happy.
But I now realise it's maybe another way I can potentially raise some revenue whilst offering something tangible people want.

Two problems:
1) it's pretty lame, just a post-it note pad with DaveCAD printed on it.
2) Paper weighs a lot. You can only fit one small square pad in the 50g $2.60 letter postage limit.

I would really like for us to get a Lego dmm made that would be totally cool. I am totally up for some other fundraising this like the rulers. Whatever you make Dave, I would buy a few....

If you do go for another crowd funded run, how about an option for 100 or 1000 rulers, for people who run businesses overseas and want to resell them? Limit them to a relatively low number of buyers and they could probably be sent directly from the PCB manufacturer, saving considerably on your postage and handling costs.

if one wants 1000 pcs they can have them done themselves for a decent price, the gerbers are available. The problem was with regular people that just needed 1-2 pcs.
