Diptrace capacitor symbols
« on: January 15, 2018, 02:53:13 pm »
Hello,

I'm a beginner to PCB design and schematic capture tools, I'm trying to place an through hole electrolytic capacitor on my schematic but the parts from the Capacitor components are very strange and confusing. How exactly can I figure out what every part name means?

For example UZP_size4x4.5

Short answer: Find what you need and as time goes along create a user library with the symbols you use frequently

Long answer: https://diptrace.com/books/Pattern_names_help.pdf

Thank you for your answers!

I found what I wanted in the Discrete library. I downloaded the tutorial but I didn't have time to read it, instead I watched the official getting started videos.
