Not because he'll win because his tech works, but because after wrestling with a pig in mud, you realise the pig is the winner no matter what.

And as well as the pig winning, you're both covered in shit.

If no one was looking you should have sharpie graffitied it with "FAKE!" >:D

I'd have done it while people were looking.
Why do people come up with these career ending schem scams.
.  That took much longer than I thought it would.

This one appears to be self destructing, yes it's leaking, hopefully the ink starts bleeding. They are too damn stupid to even use a piece of paper properly. ::) :palm:

The ads on the poles disappeared some time last week.

I took another look at the site and it seems they've added some stuff, but their "launch" is still a few days away (roughly Saturday 10am Sydney time).

As NEW technology keeps advancing the world's demand for power keeps increasing! It's a catch twenty two!

That's not at all a catch-22. moron.

The world's demand for energy keeps increasing because people in places like China and India see our lifestyle and decide they want to do the same.  :-+

The issue with fossil fuels isn't so much whether they can support us indefinitely, but whether they can support 10x that demand indefinitely. To which, even the Koch Brothers would probably say, 'No, they can't.'

In spite of hyped-up promotional material from their pipedreaming supporters, :bullshit: renewables can't even replace our existing fossil fuel usage. (2% of world energy or 7% of electricity currently comes from wind and solar, in spite of massive investments in that area.)

So, we need a new energy source. Fast breeders, thorium LFTR or fusion are the only ones we currently know of that are capable of doing the job.  Fast breeders have some horrific safety issues. So, that leaves the other two.

Although some pages now have a countdown clock of all zeros, the main page has been updated to 58 days left (or, just into 2019 for a "before the end of 2018" launch).

 :-DD |O

One the funniest points in this campaign is how their "demonstration" video actually manages to show that it doesn't work. :-DD
All you get to see is probably a poor step-up inside a dead battery.

I need to state openly to you, that I am not a Scientist or Electrical Engineer

Well that says a lot.

Everytime I hear along the lines:
Quote
Providing you with a Cleaner, Greener and Smarter form of energy, that is going to be GREAT for your pocket, GREAT for the environment and planet.

It annoys me and they have been doing this a lot.

It reminds me of that thing they did with water meters 10- 15 years ago saying it is smarter and good for your pocket and the environment and saving the planet by charging more of course.

Edit:
In the "Battery Demonstration"
No teardown video.
I find it hard to believe if I can't see what's inside.

For example – if you are a home somewhere in Sydney, the average energy demand and usage is about 5 kilowatts per day costing about $35.00 per day.

 :palm:

$1050 per month for 5KW of power per day!?!   You poor, poor, SOBs.

So he's patented this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recovery_effect

That poor 6V lead acid is basically dead at that voltage :(. No wonder the motor isn't turning.

Oh sweat jumping Jesus.  You have got to be kidding me!  This tard is selling the fact that that clapped out battery rebounds to some value under it's 'dead' voltage with no load as "self-recharge"?  That's not even entertainment that's just stupidity.

"Now, will it get back up to 6V on it's own?   No."

"Now will it run this motor?  No"

 :palm: :palm: :palm: |O |O |O

Didn't work out to well in the end for uBeam, Fontus, and the like now did it? Bad publicity only goes so far unless you want infamy.
Yeah becasue they were stupid enough to get too big. The bigger it goes the more people start asking questions.
Pretty sure a single guy like this can keep tricking just enough small fish to fund himself for quite a while.

Power isn't cheap here, but it's hardly that expensive, I'm probably somewhere around that usage for ~$100/month.

The weather cleared up, and I was feeling like a walk, so I went and grabbed a photo.

The QR code is simply the website URL.

I missed the updates on this thread, that posted is hilarious!

Oh I'm sure... that figure was complete absurdity, even if you use special gnomes that can only make power with unicorn farts.

Q8. Robby isn’t a Scientist…why has he been able to come up with the Xpower battery®?

A8. Right – As stated before, I am not a Scientist, but as an Entrepreneur I have a curious and creative mind with a desire to make a difference in the world. It was this underlying purpose that has lead to the incorporation of EnergyxPower with all that we are able to offer you and the world. In reflection, I can say that not being classically trained, is the only reason that the discovery of the Xpower battery® was possible…in the first place.

Otherwise, I would have been put in the same BOX with all the restrictions. You have to understand that this Technology was discovered by “mistake”; that is, by trial and error while being curious.

What could possibly go wrong.

Q11. Are there any special instructions for using the Xpower battery®?

A11. Not really. Just as you currently use your devices, when you turn off the T.V remote the Xpower battery® goes to work recharging itself....
But for devices such as smoke detectors that are left on until the battery dies and it starts “bleeping you,” you can just take out the Xpower battery® and leave it for a day so it recharges itself to the highest capacity possible before re-inserting or if you can’t/don’t like doing that; put in a new Xpower battery®, hold onto the old one, so it recharges itself for the next time you need a battery.

They've reset it a few times now.
