Kicad Package

Hello

I would like to ask where you take package for board. I am really new in Kicad and have small project with basic parts (package like TO-39, MSOP, SSOP, or some basic trafos) and i am not able to find them...

If you coud help i would be really greatfull that i do not need do them :D

(If you have some tutorials for Kicad which you can recommend i would be happy) :)

Have a look at kcs walters kicad page. He has a nice collection ..

thanks i found this one before, but footprints like to52 or PDIP are still mising :(

Does anyone know?

Just draw them yourself. Really, you're going to have to do it eventually anyway, start now.

Monkeh: Well i know but i am probably too lazy :) i spend more time looking for them than drawing them would take :)

JohnyBerg: Well i have to go on Win becouse my fedora 21 have a big problem with latest kicad so i have old version.

I'll shamelessly plug these again - not the whole set (though you can use them if you like), but the IPC autogen for the SMD footprints. There are just too many variants of MSOP/SSOP/etc not to use such a large library.
No longer active here - try the IRC channel if you just can't be without me :)
