Yes, we can. We are an OEM design house and supply large clients such as Foxconn / HP / Dell / TI / all the major airlines (each is a house account for 15+ years) to drop a few names.

Have met with Daphne (Kingford PCB) over the past 15-20 years of travel to Asia. Have used them a number of times with no issues and the quality has been excellent. Pricing has been very fair. They do frown upon mixing and matching suppliers for the builds as their stance is, what if the product does not work - who to blame ? We took this risk due to the never ending parts shortages and have had 100% yields with their box builds.

Best approach is to use them for the bare PCB production & PCBA production. They are a very capable shop and currently arranging to build another batch of 1k pieces. We do have our own in-house SMT line but in a time crunch between engineering new products and have a backlog of new protos to build so for us, better to offload the work.

It may be practical for you to source some of the BOM and ship them to her factory but do note that their local Chinese customs may apply some import duties. In the end, we still came out ahead with zero failures on the builds for our products.

PS: Saw one of their multilayer PCBs they built for AMD at the trade fair in the past 5 years inside a showcase - absolutely gorgeous PCB. We work with 5-6 different PCB shops which vary in capabilities but Kingford is a solid partner for us (confirmed with 4L PCB & double sided PCBAs). They are ISO Medical & Automotive certified.

Feel free to PM me if you need any other feedback or if we can assist on other non-competitive part sourcing.

Very good ...

So only detail that still maters is the ONLINE quoting and fabrication options that other houses are now by default offering  and KINGFORD still lags a bit behind..

The site still does not offer online instant quoting...

Also a note to add the KINGFORD PCB to the list of service providers here on the proper page...

In our opinion, it is always best to have a dialog with a sales rep at the factory for the best support on the PCB / PCBA quoting. There are just too many variables that can break the quote if the online software is not fully baked. The sales staff will know their capabilities much better than perhaps the quoting system can convey.

As an example, Kingford can support via in pad as a normal process and had the best offer for a recent design with WLCSP packages (0.4mm ball pitch) yet other shops in China are charging multiple times the quote as they consider the design to be HDI density. Let alone, North America vendors are charging even higher.

In another thread on this forum, we faced some issues with JLCPCB - the summary of this experience is, if the design fits their capabilities, then JLCPCB is hard to beat on the price and lead times. Pay some more and you can work with a shop like Kingford, Yaxinda, Suntak, Fast Turn PCB, China Fast Print, etc. and they will just get the job done.
