Solenoid design

Hi,

I need a solenoid with very specific dimensions and there is none available so I must build one. But I'm stuck with the shell material.
Can anyone recommend me a supplier (in Europe preferably)  of soft iron or other metallic compounds which can be used to build magnetic circuit of solenoid? The shape is cylindrical, 22mm in diameter.
