I don't think Shahriar is ever more than two steps from a spectrum analyzer, I don't see why he needs a portable one.

I'll admit that when the video was nearing the end and you had not yet swapped the SRAM, I thought it would be a lost cause. Excellent to see that you managed to entirely fix it via intuition!

So in this time you are in software problem: this specturm analyzer and the Agilent scope that I read in somewhere in the blog. At the end have you menaged to restore also the Agilent scope?

I don't think Shahriar is ever more than two steps from a spectrum analyzer, I don't see why he needs a portable one.   

I cant speak for Shahriar but I find lugging an expensive full size Agilent analyser around a pain for simple tasks and testing of RF designs. Not to mention the cost of analysers that go up to 7GHz being left in the boot of a car...etc. So, Nice unit to have around.

The main advantage of the portable one is being able to easily use it outdoor hunting for signals! Now if I could only get one that goes up to 77GHz in a portable form factor I could look for all those automotive radars!

Usually it's some complicated issue - like blown custom ASICs.
