PCB Mounting with electrical connection and vibration dampening
« on: February 03, 2023, 08:28:00 am »
Hi!

I'm trying to find a way to mount PCBs onto a metal plate in a good way that ideally accomplishes two things:

1) Provide electrical connection between the PCB mounting holes that are grounded and the metal plate the PCBs will be mounted upon.

2) Provide some vibration dampening for when the machine is shipped.

Do you know of any mounting method/mounting component to accomplish this? Most PCB standoffs I've looked at accomplishes only one of the two criteria.

star washers and silicone HDD mounting dampers like

not perfect, maybe add some flexible grounding wire just to be on the safe side...
