Allen Smart Engine Analyzer
« on: April 29, 2020, 12:37:40 pm »
Hey All,

Today i had a Allen smart engine analyzer 62-000 come in for repair.

i have a service manual sorta was faxed from states so bits and pieces are missing.

wondering as this is almost as old as i am. if there was anyone around that may of repaired them who could point me in the right direction.

powers on, scope comes up ok but analyzer is stuck on loading program. diagnosic is first led floppy drive status light on (no disk)
would love to get my hand on media for this too as a backup for if i have to look after this in future.

also idea's on replacing the disk to something more modern and reliable.

 any advice greatly appreciated

launch x431 are only good for  cars made in the last 20 plus years

The Allen SEA doesnt require the car to have any computer.
so i understand why a mechanic who specialise in older vintage cars want this up and running.
