Tektronix 2215 scope
« on: July 11, 2018, 12:37:03 pm »
Hello I've been given an oscilloscope to play around with it's a Tektronix 2215 but it has a fault. I'm trying
To get a trace but all I can seem to get is a vertical line on the screen when beam find is pushed. If anyone knows what would be causing this that would be great.

That would be indicating that you have no sweep function on the timebase which controls the horizontal trace. You have a vertical line which would be giving a basic indication that the vertical amplifier section does seem to be working.

Tektronix still has the service manual on their website - it will help you narrow down the problem. Take a look at the back to see if it has an OPT 48 sticker. If so, remember that the component list will be different for some boards, at the back of the manual it tells you the changes.
