Tektronix THS710 Cal Error
« on: June 23, 2019, 04:23:54 pm »
Due to a higher offset in both of the channels (which I could not eliminate with SPC) I tried to calibrate the oscilloscope part as described in the service manual.

But the first step (with a square wave signal of 1kHz with 300mVpp) did already not pass.

In the error log of the scope there were a lot of failures visible afterwards (nvram error, etc..).

Also in the start menu is  a "Cal initialization" failure visible now (was not the case before calibration), followed by "Consult service manual...". But in the sevice manual there is no failure description available.

The scope seems working correctly, also the SPC works, but calibration is not possible.. :(

My only assumptions is that the flash memory (U1 ?) is corrupted......

Any other idea?

Is it possible to change the flash memory and copy the content to a new flash memory?

 Any information welcome.....

Thank you very much
