I came across this switching power supply (Velleman LABPS3005SMU) on
Amazon (also on TEquipment.net) and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this particular supply.
Looking at the specs on their
official website this is what I could find:
Input Voltage: 230 VAC 50 Hz
Output Voltage: 0-30 VDC adjustable max.
Output Current: 0-5 A adjustable max.
Ripple Voltage: 200 mVp-p
Dimensions: 85 × 160 × 205 mm
Weight: 1.62 kg
Fuse: T3.15
The ripple voltage seems to be in line (or slightly worse) then the
RD6006 for example, but I am not sure if these values are typical.
The reason I am in the market for a supply is that we won't have access to our local makespace anytime soon due to the pandemic, (and in any case I would like to start building up some basic test-equipment at home). Currently my choices are 1. A RD6006 from a US Aliexpress warehouse ($126 - case+supply+module) and 2. the LABPS3005SMU from Amazon/TEquipment ($60)
Any thoughts or alternate suggestions would be appreciated.
