Hi,
I saw here a Pintek DP-100 100Mhz differential probe teardown.
From outside my Rigol RP1100D looks absolutely identical so I was wondering if it is the same probe.
I think my Rigol probe is really made by Pintek. But I have probably newer revision of internal electronic.
On my PCB is written revision DP-100-E1 while Pintek reviewed here has written DP100-D. My Rigol probe has board based on SMD devices, older Pintek here through hole devices.
My Rigol probe has well shielded case made by conductive paint while Pintek probe is missing this feature. On other hand Rigol probe is missing battery slot and rely only on external DC power adapter.
Unfortunately Rigol probe has wiped off IC naming. What bullshit practice - especially from Chinese company. It is so ironic ...
So just enjoy pics if you want ...
By the way, my initial purpose to look inside this probe was make ZERO offset of this probe (is it 0.7V now on x100 range). But there is lot of trimmers, so not easy without function description. If somebody know how to proceed this please let me know.
Updated: Rigol RP1100D could be in fact rebranded Pintech DP-100, as Tautech stated below.
