Rigol RSA5000 series real-time spectrum analyzers
« on: January 19, 2018, 04:19:07 pm »
So, this popped up on reddit this afternoon:

https://www.reddit.com/r/rfelectronics/comments/7raa3k/new_from_rigol_rsa5000_series_realtime_spectrum/

Thoughts?

From http://www.saelig.com/pr/rsa5000.html

  • 9kHz to 3.2 or 6.5GHz with a maximum sample rate of 51.2MS/s
  • 1ms full span sweep
  • Vertical range to +30dBm
  • -108dBc/Hz (which is a useless number without the offset but it's "better" than their other SAs)
  • 1 Hz RBW
  • Reduced noise floor (DANL) to -165dBm
  • Can also be used in a traditional swept scan mode
  • Up to 40MHz Real-Time Bandwidth
  • >146,000 FFTs/sec
  • Delivering down to 7.45us for a 100% Probability of Intercept
  • Seven display modes (Normal, Density, Spectogram, Power v. Time, Density & Spectogram, PVT & Spectrum, PVT & Spectrogram)
  • Include a Frequency Mask Trigger.  The Frequency Mask Trigger is especially useful for triggering measurements of sporadic or transient events. (or so they say)
  • Tracking generator option:  100kHz – 3.2/6.5GHz with an output range of -40dBm to 0dBm

My bad, I thought I had gone back far enough. Mods, please delete!
