Setting default gate time to 1s on HP53132A

I have a few HP53132A.  Does anyone know how to set default gate time to 1s?  By factory default, it comes up 0.1s.  It takes few steps to change it to 1s.  It becomes tiresome after a while....

I don't think that's possible. In fact, Tables 2-7A and 2-7B in the manual say that the gate time setting is not stored in non-volatile memory. What you could do, however, is to store an instrument setting with the desired gate time using the save/recall function. Then you could bring that setting up with (I think) two keystrokes ([Recall] + [Enter]) after power-up if you save it in memory No. 1.

I was hoping there was some secret way to change the default.  I guess not.  It seems save/recall is the only option.
