My company Krontech (maker of Chronos Cameras) has an opening for a Senior FGPA Engineer.

We are a small company transforming the world of high-speed cameras. We are focused on making the most fantastic, best engineered products possible. No bean counters running things here, you'll be involved in a small engineering team of about 10 enthusiastic people people, under me (David / tesla500) as the CEO. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes FPGA, Verilog and imaging systems. You'll be involved in the the R&D and product development of a new high-speed camera. Kron Technologies is an emerging technology company that has grown from its Kickstarter origins to develop innovative cameras that have disrupted the world of high-speed video cameras. We’re looking for more talented individuals to join us as we design, develop, and manufacture cutting-edge imaging products. The Opportunity
This full-time position is an opportunity to work in a technology company that is reshaping the world of high-speed cameras. You will be working with a creative, diverse, multi-disciplinary team to develop the technical platform for the next generation of high-speed imaging equipment. You will be able to use your skills and passion for FPGAs, Verilog, and logic to contribute to a physical product.. Some of the tasks you will be working on include designing and architecting image processing systems, implementing features in the camera’s FPGA, and performing design verification.

This role is central to our development efforts and will have broad responsibilities, including:
● Evaluating FPGA requirements for new products
● Researching design requirements, producing system and IP core design specifications
● Designing FPGA-targeted IP cores in Verilog
● Creating, using and maintaining simulation testbenches for system and IP core validation
● Evaluating timing requirements and implementing logic to meet timing
● Assisting with pin planning during board design and layout
● Performing system bring-up tasks

Required qualifications
● University degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
● Clear, robust, and well commented coding style
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Simulation experience in Modelsim, etc.
● Familiarity with the design and implementation of high-speed protocols/interfaces
● Familiarity with source control systems
● Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting skills
● Team player able to work well and contribute effectively with different groups

Desired qualifications
● 3+ years of experience developing custom IP for production FPGAs and/or ASICs
● Solid experience with Intel Cyclone or Xilinx FPGAs and tools
● Knowledge of cameras, image processing pipelines, and/or compression algorithms
● Familiarity with automated design verification using TCL scripts, Synopsys Design Constraints, etc.
● Expert in RTL simulation
● Passion for technology innovation
● Experience in advanced hardware design and PCB layout would be a huge asset.
