There is an open position for a full-time electrical engineer within the electrical group I work for at Electro Scientific Industries (part of MKS Instruments) in Portland, Oregon. (We're located closer to Beaverton, honestly.)  I'd say the key attribute we're looking for is experience with analog or RF circuit design.  You can take a look at the ESI products page to get an idea of the types of industrial machines we produce.  I regularly interact with a multi-disciplinary team of software, embedded, electrical, mechanical, optical, and manufacturing engineering.
