[Edit Mar 22/2022: Thanks for looking. And thanks to this forum, we have found someone.]
A road-builder in Connecticut needs help repairing a few obsolete electronic controllers for some of their machines, as the manufacturer will no longer provide support. This is not a job, but a customer looking for a new vendor that will hopefully develop into a partnership and more work.
You will need to visit them in person to get to know them and the machines, pick up the controllers, and help test the repairs. They are located in the Hartford/Springfield area.
Familiarity with heavy machinery, hydraulics, electrical controls, and of course electronics is required. Comfort with noise, dirt, smoke, and tar an asset.
This will probably lead to future work with them as they have lots of machines with a variety of electrical and electronic controls.
