Title: DC-DC Converter Circuit Design (US)
« on: March 24, 2016, 06:35:34 pm »
We're looking for an engineer in the US to design and test several task-specific DC-DC converter circuits, particularly synchronous buck and synchronous boost. Some of these circuits will be used to charge lithium-ion batteries, so current-limiting is required.
The circuits are in the 100W range, for a portable product, so efficiency and minimizing heat output are the primary challenges.

The initial job will be freelance, with potential for a part-time employment down the line. Proximity to San Francisco is preferable.

- Designing, testing, and optimizing DC-DC converter circuits.
- Experience with battery charging circuits.
- Ability to prototype with compact SMT components (probably no smaller than 0603 though).
- Equipment to do load tests with.
- Thermal imaging equipment is a plus.
- Embedded development is a plus, to allow these circuits to be digitally monitored and controlled.

Start date: Immediate.
