Hi All, we are looking for an experienced firmware engineer to join the team Full time  :)

The projects will require a creative approach to the challenges in the electronics industry. You must be able to deliver to agreed timescales and be accountable for their tasks. As an embedded C/C++ software engineer with proven experience, you will be managing and produce structured approach and using best embedded software engineering practices, and write good quality, robust and maintainable embedded software implementation. You are required to manage, plan, write, implement and test firmware elements based on the system requirements.

Strong security models are essential in all designs. This code will start out in prototypes and scale up into hundreds of thousands of units deployed Worldwide. 


Skills and Experience
-   Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or similar.
-   10+ years experience, bringing a product from concept to market
-   Experience in software architecture and embedded systems.
-   Expertise in embedded software engineering best practice with a proven ability to write good quality, robust, reliable and maintainable code.
-   Proven experience in embedded C/C++ software implementation.
-   Proven experience in complete lifecycle of proof of concept applications including prototype, design, implementation, debug, test and documentation of embedded systems.
-   Attention to detail in software design and implementation.
-   Ability to work with a wide range of development systems, IDEs and microcontroller architectures.
-   A good understanding of firmware version control and revision control software
-   Software development experience using C/C++ and assembly language with ARM Cortex-M series is an advantage.
-   Experience in Linux-capable SoC will be an added advantage.
-   Experience working with RTOS will be an added advantage.
-   Experience in safety critical applications will be an added advantage.
-   Software and hardware debugging skills are critical, as is ability to understand PCB schematics and use standard hardware testing equipment’s.
-   Good understanding of networking architecture and protocols will be an added advantage
-   Strong documentation and writing skills.
-   Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a small team.
Duties
•   Experience in handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
•   Structured approach to design & verification with demonstrable skills in selecting appropriate software architectures.
•   Work on projects and manage a small team through leading by example
•   Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.
•   Maintain and improve existing code base.
•   Complete other duties at the discretion of management.
•   Ensure and promote the personal health, safety and wellbeing of staff.
•   Carry out duties in a way which promotes fairness in all matters and which engenders trust.
•   Promote equality of opportunity and support diversity and inclusion.
