Sounds like a decent role a recent TAFE grad.
We’re a newish business here in Dandenong Victoria focusing on the medical sector and we are vertically integrated so we design, develop, manufacture and distribute, service and support our products. Makes it easy to deal with the end user customer and easier to help them and get ideas from them as well. We are ISO 13485 accredited by the TGA and we make plastic, pneumatic, and electronic products. The next few products in the pipeline will be primarily electronics (see list below) so I need to find someone who can help with the QA and documentation, design support and prep for manufacture, test and maintain.
· Ventilator - A small portable and quickly deployable full function ventilator
· Surgical Anesthesia Machine -This equipment is an offshoot form the ventilator project.
· Optically Non-Invasive Continuous Cardiac Output Monitor -A non-invasive method and apparatus determines continuously the volume of oxygen delivered to the tissues using several infrared sensors.
· The Hipot series of High Voltage Electrosurgical Laparoscopic Insulation Testers
· Biomedical and Electromedical Testing equipment
We have the main designer but he wants to stick with the design and stay away from paperwork, people and downstream stuff. He’s quite brilliant so I need to provide support and cover all the TGA doc, manuals, manufacture setup and production. It’s not all second fiddle but that will be the start I think. We work closely with the end users doctors and specialists and one of our strengths is our mindset and experience on effective engagement and collaboration so it’s a lot of fun with the right team.
Probably more suited to a younger engineer but maybe not- I reckon it would be interesting work for anybody who doesn’t mind the paperwork as well.
