Hi all,

Petalite is a technology start-up business based in Birmingham Science Park; we are launching our first product line at the beginning of 2016 and are looking for an enthusiastic person to become a leader of a small engineering team in an leadership capacity.


We are looking for a power electronics engineer join the Petalite business in Flyback DC charger topology and control IC design; to also take responsibility for the technical solution on one or more power and control projects, involving responsibility for compliance, business and legal requirements.

Technical leadership of a small multi-disciplined engineering design team

Design of Switch Mode Power Supplies
Design of Invertor and Power Factor Correction
Design of Full Bridge, Flyback, Forward topologies or exposure to others
Experience of PCB design (Proteus / Altium PCB)
Product Quality Testing

Required Education / Experience:

Technical Leadership experience in Product Development lifecycle with proven record of delivering solutions.
MSc in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar.

Candidates with other qualifications and relevant experience will be considered.

We are looking for someone who wants to work in small and effective businesses, working with and teaching apprentices to bring them up to a good competence level and making a large contribution and impact to a business.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to assist in the growth of a new business and wants to make a big impact in a small business as well as a salary

This role is for a paid position beginning the 01-12-2015.

Salary £40,000 p/a minimum 5 years industry experience with share options scheme.
