So you're probably thinking why does this guy have a VNA if he has no idea how to use it. Well, read on.
Here's what I would like:
- Lessons in English via remote Zoom/Skype on how to set up SA/VNA for doing various measurements.
I'm mainly interested in LoRa devices as that is what my company builds
I have a Siglent SVA1015x with EMI option
By the end of the lesson(s) I'd like to be able to zip around on the VNA and measure things like dipole antennas, EMI pre compliance (I have a TEM cell too), making sure my precertified Murata ABZ LoRa module is behaving. What I really want to know is will my device pass FCC. I have limit lines and EMI option. Scan search measure etc.
We have modified the Pi network for future HazLoc certs so we need to submit for FCC/IC/CE certs. I had an RF engineer run tests and he tuned it and tested the end result. Said it was matched well after tuning.
So why do I own equipment and not know how to use it? Because I started an IoT company around a niche area. I'm not an EE, I'm a sales guy. But I need to learn this as I am chief, cook and bottle washer. I'm a fast learner and very flexible around your schedule. I know I can watch youtube videos but I find coaching helps me get answers faster. I'm not a complete beginner but pretty close.
Let me know if this interests you and we can discuss further. You likely would need to have this same tool or be familiar enough with Agilent (as they seem very similar to my Keysight N9000B I borrowed), I can also screen share.
Thx
