Sydney: Commercial Network Cabling Install
« on: November 27, 2022, 03:38:08 am »
I need a commercial data cabler to install and connect an ethernet line from my lab to my dungeon in my commercial office building.
You MUST have a commercial data cabling license and be authorised and insured for such work in a commercial office building, no excepctions.
It will require installing a conduit from the MDF room to the dungeon along the concrete underground carpark roof.
There is already an ethernet cable going from the lab to the corridor cable cupboard, but unsure where it goes from there. Presumably down the MDF room, but I could not find the other end.
Maybe 80m total run.

Can pay in cash, crypto, gold, silver, or multimeters.
Free tour of the famous dumpster room.

Email me if interested.

Not going to happen for legal reasons.

If it connects to the telecoms system, then yes.
If it's standalone, then techically no, but there is likely a murky gray area when it comes to the MDF room in a commercial office building. And it is actually against the building stata rules to use unlicenced contractors or DIY such things.
It's simple, I'd be absolutely insane to go and install my own conduit across the basement carpark in the building against the strata rules. I have zero licence and insurance for this. Also doesn't help that I'm on the building executive comittee.

IIRC installing anything inside walls requiring at least a registered cabler.

@Dave this might be useful: https://www.acma.gov.au/find-registered-cabler
