We are a company that does, amongst other things, commercial building automation (lighting, HVAC, power analysis, water usage, commercial solar, AV, battery storage etc.), domestic high end AV and complete home automation.

We are looking for a young enthusiastic up and coming engineer/tinkerer that has some experience with basic protocols like RS232/484, audio, video, networking, microcontrollers, etc. A basic understanding of electronics. With a view to you helping us with lighting and integration of different systems. We have hired many people already but feel that we would try to find someone who has a passion for learning and a good understanding of the underlying protocols that are used with many automation systems. Paper qualifications are not really important to me personally, so don't be afraid to apply if you have none, we just need someone who is super energized by technology, learning and experimenting.

The job will initially be in lighting and automation programming, which entails the use of some software tools which you would be trained to use. But if you understand the underlying protocols used, it should not be too scary. There would also be procurement duties, like working out what equipment we will need to purchase for various jobs.

In the future we hope to develop our own hardware for automation of the various control systems.

What would be advantageous is a car as we often need to travel to sites for programming and/or maintenance. There would also be interstate travel and sometimes we need to work crazy hours, especially on the eve of large job handovers. The job can be challenging at times.

If you are an awesome person like this, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Cheers, Daryl.
