am using kicad 5.0.1 and I find it so difficult to import from ltspice to kicad due to differences in the footprints and other things. You might find that the symbols in ltspice are larger than those in kicad hence giving too many compatibility challenges.

The schematic editor in Kicad can import bitmap images, and scale them.
So, any schematic that has been saved in a bitmap format can be used as a "background" to re-create the schematic in KiCad.
It's not perfect, but it's bettter then nothing.
