Title: Can't see footprints in kicad file
Post by: opampsmoker on October 28, 2020, 07:15:33 am
In the “global libraries” tab of the “footprint libraries” dialog box, I have put in a library path to a file of kicad standard footprints that I downloaded. I gave it a “nickname” of ‘kicad’. However, when I go to the footprint editor, I can see the “nickname” kicad….but none of the footprints appear there. It has an expansion box next to it…but it expands to nothing. This file is full of footprints..but I cant see them, do you know why this is?

I have my own different  file of self-made footprints in a different file, and I have linked this into the “project libraries” tab…and I can see those footprints fine…so why cant I see the other footprints that I spoke of above?
