Ohai,
I have an issue with SVG files exported by KiCAD. I edit them in Adobe Illustrator (to add text, for exemple).
The problem is that every stroke are ridiculously thicker than they should be. For exemple theu weight 33.33 mm instead of 0.24mm.
Has anyone seen the same issue? Any one knows a solution?
Illustrator is the CC version, up to date.

This is SCH ?
I see SVG and DXF export as simply polylines, so you could also try PDF into Illustrator.
PDF seems to export with Text and a polyline combination (text invisible, but searchable)

No, I want to export from PCBNew, to print on transparent for photo+chemical PCB making.
Printing to PDF is not great, since I paths are not connected, and selecting each one of the same kind is too arduous.

PcbNew -> SVG looks perfectly fine to me, viewing in a Chrome Browser ?
Text plots as vectors, in the expected line-width, and pads render with holes == Drill Size.
( For larger pads, a drill dot could be nice to have...)

Yes, it appears OK in InkScape... It's weird that Illustrator makes such a mess...

A cynic might say that is a deliberate Turf Protection Ploy by Adobe, for any file format that is not their own, to be crippled in some way ...
Do you have to use Illustrator ?

Did you tried Library editor? Even in PCbNew, you can export the complete board as SVG or from the file menu.

Appart from the SVGs from pcbnew, I usually don't have problems to open this format.
I'm more used to Illustrator, now. And there are some features that InkScape doesn't have. (And I pay for Adobe CC, FFS! I might as well use it!)

That's what I do :
