Footprint builder for kicad
calin:
Here is a nice tool to have around when you need to create a custom component ...
http://cyclerecorder.org/footprintbuilder/
Let's you create footprints that can be imported in a kicad library. It saved me a lot of time
McMonster:
Some time ago I found this online footprint generator and I can recommend it, saves a lot of time too.
calin:
I use that one .. is good. Only a "small" difference between that one and the one i found.
The one I gave creates PCBnew footprints, the one in your link creates EEschema symbols. Basically these two together can be used as a quick way to get custom "components" into projects.
McMonster:
Yes, my mistake, I meant schematic symbols, not footprints.
alm:
Does it support standard IPC land patterns like the Altium and PADS wizards?
