Title: Hint: KiCad on high-DPI displays
Post by: mcovington on November 20, 2022, 09:30:39 pm
Problem: under Windows, with a high-DPI (high-resolution) display, KiCad's icons around the edge of the screen are abnormally large.

Solution:  Perform the intervention shown in the picture below, but do it to eeschema.exe, gerbview.exe, kicad.exe, pcbnew.exe, and pl_editor.exe, all in C:\Program Files\KiCad\6.0\bin

This may be old news to some.  A high-DPI display is one in which the screen pixels are not Windows' logical pixels; Windows has various ways of scaling up the display.  Many computer screens these days are high-DPI.
