I made a KiCad download mirror, thanks to Sourceforge
« on: February 13, 2018, 04:19:05 am »
A server of mine does an rsync of http://downloads.kicad-pcb.org and uses Sourceforge's download mirror network for faster downloads.
The rsync happens every 12 hours, for timely nightly downloads.

Apologies, bson. Sourceforge had disabled shell access while they were moving datacenters. They finally reenabled access today, but now I cannot resolve downloads.kicad-pcb.org from sourceforge's servers.. |O

Edit: aaand DNS is fixed but I'm not allowed to make outgoing connections any more. And they've broken access to ssh again.. WTH is going on with Sourceforge?

I'll definitely update manually if version 5 comes out before this is all fixed.
