Kicad for noobs
« on: March 05, 2016, 10:50:09 am »
Hi

Is there is a good brief guide to kicad out there? I'v been using altium at work for years but would like to get into some home projects however to say how kicad works is a bit opaque to me is something of an understatement

Cheers

Hi

I've found the videos by Chris at the Contextual Electronics site among the best, but with the caveat that I don't know how many (if any) have been updated to the current stable release 4.0.  There was a long time and significant change between versions.  Having said that, the concepts haven't changed significantly.

Good luck

Can you read Spanish? There is a first class KiCad guide in Spanish, much better of anything I have seen in English. It's is PDF format (it's not written by me).

Could you post direct link to the PDF?
