Title: Kicad load library
Post by: raphaeldavidf on February 20, 2015, 09:24:24 pm
Hey guys, first post in the forum  ;)

I'm using kicad for quite some time now and I don't know if this is the default behavior, or I messed something up, but every new project I've to manually reload all my custom libraries and footprints (I keep them with the default ones in /usr/share/kicad/library and /modules) and I find this quite annoying. I searched everywhere in kicad but couldn't find a setting for auto load all the libraries on startup. I'm using kicad Version: (2013-jul-07)-stable.

any help will be very appreciated  :D

Locate the kicad.pro file, this is used for the defaults for new projects.
Normaly located in the kicad/share directory.

Open this file and and add all the libraries there.

Thanks a LOT, that solved the problem! ;D
