Neonden YY1: Kicad place file for PnP and PCB origin
« on: May 01, 2024, 12:16:37 am »
I tried to use the Kicad place file for my PCB to populate boards with my Neoden YY1 instead of manually inputting component locations via the pnp touch-screen but the coordinates are way off. Upon contacting Neoden support I'm told that the YY1 does not deal with negative coordinates. I need to change the board origin from top left corner to top bottom left corner to match the origin of the YY1 but not sure how.

Does anyone know where to change this in Kicad?

That part of the manual mostly deals with displaying on screen coordinates. With the Drill / Place File Origin you can set any location on your PCB that is treated as (0, 0) for Gerber and placement file output.
