Title: pinching track widths? how to do this?
Post by: 3roomlab on December 09, 2015, 03:18:55 pm
hello folks

in eagle, you could freely select a track and pinch the size freely (ie to avoid "obstacles")

how do you do it in kicad? i have a net, it cant be that i have to define all the sizes i need to pinch? ie : 16mil, 17mil .... all the way to 200mil?

ie: pic below, net 00002-000002, the intermediate diagonal going thru 2 pads (avoiding 00003), it doesnt allow to connect, and there is no choice to resize for that segment, so i could not connect it in 1 connection?

No need to define the sizes. Just switch to the new OpenGL layout engine (should be default in the newest version that just came out, you might have to update), and then you can just punch Q and put in whatever size you want.
