Title: selecting all vias
Post by: Dan Moos on August 19, 2017, 04:14:47 pm
lets say I want to change the properties of every via in a layout after the fact.

surely I don't have to do them one at a time, right? Can't figure out how to select all vias

KiCAD forum is pretty active.  There are differences depending on what version you use.  Sometimes things like this are done with scripts because everything is human readable.   Even a text editor with search and replace might do this depending on what you need.

Edit -> Edit tracks and vias
What version?  I'm using Debian stable and it has  4.0.5+dfsg1-4  and that isn't an option.

I'm running 4.06 for Windows.

No Edit -> Edit tracks and vias option for me either.

I seriously hope I don't have to write a script to do such a simple task.

He got his answer on the KiCAD forum.  There is an option but you have to have the routing option enabled to get to the menu.
