I've recently started watching a tutorial series on Youtube by channel "John's Basement". So far As a non-PCB design expert and noob KiCad user I have found it very useful and I recommend it to others like me. It is worth a look if you have (like me) just found it a bit confusing making a start having never used any PCB package before..

I also like the Joh's Basement ones... but for something with a bit more content...

However it might be ruined by mid-roll ads now...  ::)

55 mins. of video that could be better spent just installing it and playing around.

Thank you for mentioning it. I started the course this morning and so far, I'm very content with it.
We have to make the transition from Eagle V7 to Kicad and this course gives me a kickstart.

edit:
I finished 2/3 of the course and I felt confident enough to start with a project. Before starting with commercial projects,
I'll start with a hobby project to see if any showstoppers come up.
First little job was to write a script (ULP) that mass converts the generic devices (RLC) in my custom Eagle library to a Kicad symbol library.
