Title: Am I doing this right.... seedstudio/PCB noob
Post by: Dreamer1 on February 07, 2018, 08:25:14 am
Hi guys, I have no idea what I'm doing.

I have attempted to design a PCB.

GERBERS can be found here.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1doVZ3D5MnDCO1jprnESGxAOgoDncY2EG

I plan to send it to seed studio.

Does it have everything I need?

Sorry for the noob question - don't know who to turn to here...

Thanks!

Looks to be missing a board outline.

Not sure what software you are using, but on Kicad it's the edge cuts layer. (it's going to basically specify your finished board size)

Scratch that, I see that in the gm4 file I think, you may need to rename it, on some sites. Usually most will let you know what is missing - file wise, they will also contact you with questions if there is something they are not sure of.

Go to their order page, upload your gerber and then click on the gerber viewer option.  If it looks correct, you should be good to go. There is no commitment to buy at that point.
